howlikeatree:

You guys, what the fuck, this MOVIE.
So doctorscience, effsie, and robotverve flooded my dash with An Extremely Goofy Movie screencaps a little while ago, and I just now got around to watching it (well, skimming through it) and just… what.
Okay, look at those screencaps. That’s how much one face changes in a fraction of a second. He’s not even saying a full word in each of those rows.
Can I please be an animator? I would be the happiest little tamale if I could actually get paid for drawing thousands of smarmy, thick-eyebrowed facial expressions. Bring back hand-drawn animation for me, so that I can do this, okay?
I would even be okay doing the freakish in-betweener stuff.

Day 06 - favorite made-for-TV movie direct-to-video movie - An Extremely Goofy Movie
Okay, since the ONLY made-for-TV movie I remember is High School Musical (I lacked cable TV for most of my life), so thought I would change topic to something else that I’ve seen more of, direct-to-video movies.
Probably the number one reason I like this movie is the dancing. OMG. the dancing. There’s only really 2 dance sequences, but they rock hardcore. (The middle disco scene, and the ending credits.) I enjoy the ending credits SO MUCH. (vid link, YOU SHOULD WATCH) It’s so cute. Love the song too…one of my top favorite songs to sing along with.
The movie plot is interesting enough, it goes through a lot of realistic father-son emotional struggle in unrealistic situations, just like the first movie. Their relationship is always quite deep, even since the original Goof Troop cartoons…perhaps it’s nostalgia hitting me the way Toy Story 3 does? It’s this continuation of Max growing up and Goofy learning to be a part of that.
Really the only disappointment of this movie is that Roxanne from the first Goofy Movie isn’t in it. D: Max and her were so cute. However, she is replaced by sexy librarian, so it kinda weighs out (the Goofs must have a thing for Gingers~)
